Day 1: Overnight Flight
Day 2: Cairo, Egypt
Your tour begins
in Cairo today. Gather for a special welcome
reception and dinner this evening. (D)
Day 3: Cairo -
Memphis - Sakkara - Cairo
A preliminary
overview prepares you for your excursion to the
magnificent Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic
Sphinx. After touring the pyramids, travel south
to visit the site of ancient Memphis, with its
40-foot statue of Ramses II, and Sakkara, with
the oldest of all the pyramids, the Step
pyramid. (B)
Day 4: Cairo
Spend the
morning discovering the incomparable collections
of the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, including
statues, reliefs, sarcophagi, and the treasures
of the tomb of Tutankhamen. Later in the day,
enjoy some time on your own to return to the
museum or perhaps visit the fascinating Khan El
Khalili bazaar. Tonight, see Cairo's skyline
illuminated on an evening dinner cruise complete
with regional cuisine and entertainment. (B, D)
Day 5: Cairo - Aswan
Fly from Cairo
to Aswan. In the afternoon you may choose to
take an optional tour to Abu Simbel.** At Abu
Simbel you will see the extraordinary temples
built by Pharaoh Ramses II, which were moved to
their present site during construction of the
Aswan High Dam. (B)
Day 6: Aswan - Board
Cruise Ship
Embark on your
Nile cruise ship, the m/s Liberty, this
morning. After lunch on board ship, sail by
traditional felucca to Kitchener Island for a
stroll through the botanical gardens. Your ship
remains in Aswan overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Kom Ombo
Before setting
sail, visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries,
and the ancient Philae Temple of Isis. Begin
your cruise down the mighty Nile, stopping at
Kom Ombo to tour the famous double sanctuary.

Day 8: Edfu - Luxor
This morning
visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Following lunch, set sail for Luxor. Pause to
view small villages alongside the river and
enjoy a preview of the exciting sites that you
will visit in Luxor (ancient Thebes) and on the
West Bank. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Luxor
Cross over to
the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of
the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, and the Colossi of
Memnon. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of the
massive complex of the Temple of Karnak. After
dinner, return to the Temple of Karnak for the
breathtaking sound and light show. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Luxor -
Disembark Cruise Ship
Disembark your
ship this morning. Return to the West Bank to
visit the tombs in the Valley of Nobles and the
well-preserved temple complex of Medinet Habu.
This afternoon you may choose an optional tour
to the Luxor Museum. (B, D)
Day 11: Luxor -
Cairo
Depart your
hotel and fly back to Cairo. Enjoy a farewell
dinner tonight. (B, D)

for the great wife of the Egyptian ruler
Amenhotep III (1390-1352 BC). The m/s
Ti-Yi was launched in November 2003 and
is considered to be one of the finest
boats on the Nile. The vessel is
decorated in a classic contemporary
style offering spacious interiors and a
high standard of accommodation and
service. Lively entertainment is offered
throughout the cruise. All cabins
feature panoramic windows, mini bar,
music system and bathroom with walk-in
