Snowcapped mountains, unspoiled forests, and rushing

summer. You’ll overnight at the incomparable Fairmont
Chateau Lake Louise, known as the “Diamond in the
Wilderness” for its awe-inspiring surroundings and old
world elegance. Travel along the Icefields Parkway,
where each turn in the road reveals another brilliant
mountain vista. Here you’re likely to see some of the
area’s fascinating wildlife including grizzly bears,
furry marmots, and elk. On a stop at the Columbia
Icefields, you can take a snocoach ride across this mass
of glacial ice that is over 1,000 feet thick! You’ll
also see the Valley of the Ten Peaks and the impressive
Hoodoos, land of sleeping giants, before boarding your
train for a journey from Banff to Vancouver. Spend two
days viewing coastal forests, roaring river canyons, and
the stunning peaks of the Monashee Mountains. Upon
arrival in vibrant Vancouver, take a city tour featuring
the world-famous steam-powered clock, the colorful
markets of Chinatown, and the ancient Totem Poles in
Stanley Park, remnants of the Native Americans who once
inhabited the region.

1: Calgary, Alberta - Tour Begins
Join Collette Vacations as you explore the beautiful Canadian
Rockies by train. Your exciting holiday begins in the
adventurous city of Calgary. (D)
Day 2: Calgary - Lake Louise
This morning enjoy a panoramic view from the observation level
of the Calgary Tower. Later today you will journey to lovely Bow
Falls and the impressive Hoodoos, land of sleeping giants. This
afternoon you arrive at the world-famous Fairmont Chateau Lake
Louise. This hotel, called the "Diamond in the Wilderness", is
surrounded with snow-frosted Rocky Mountain peaks, secluded next
to a legendary lake and showcased by a majestic glacier. Spend
the balance of the day indulging in the splendor of this
magnificent resort. (B, D)
Day 3: Lake Louise - Icefields Parkway - Banff
The highlight today is a journey along the unforgettable
Icefields Parkway: behold majestic waterfalls, rushing rivers,
glacial peaks, imposing cliffs and snowcapped mountain ranges. A
stop will be made at the Columbia Icefields where you may choose
to participate in an optional ride in a snocoach (weather
permitting) across this mass of glacial ice which is over 1,000
feet thick. As you continue down the parkway, you will most
likely see bears, furry marmots and stately elk. Stop at the
serene Peyto Lake before arriving in Banff, your home for the
next two nights. (B)
Day 4: Banff
This morning, view spectacular Moraine Lake and the awesome
Valley of the Ten Peaks. With time at leisure in the quaint
village of Banff, you may choose to browse through the shops and
museums, or just take in the natural beauty of the area. You may
also choose an optional visit to Sulphur Mountain for an
incredible tram ride that offers magnificent views of Banff and
the nearby Rockies. (B, D)
Day 5: Banff - Rocky Mountaineer Train - Kamloops
Board your train for the scenic journey of a lifetime. The Rocky
Mountaineer Train will give you a vibrant voyage between Banff
and Vancouver. Spend two days viewing coastal forests, roaring
river canyons and lofty mountain peaks. Today you will pass the
striking peaks of the Monashee Mountains. Tonight you arrive in
Kamloops for an overnight stay. (B, L)
Day 6: Kamloops - Vancouver, British Columbia
Continue west aboard your train as your route takes you along
the fields of Fraser Valley and the historic Fraser River. You
will also view the beauty of the Thompson River and the
shimmering waters of Kamloops. Early this evening your train
journey ends as you arrive in the beautiful city of Vancouver.

Day 7: Vancouver
Experience the splendor of Vancouver with a sightseeing tour
that begins at Stanley Park. You will also visit Chinatown and
the charming waterfront area. Your tour ends in Gastown,
Vancouver's turn-of-the-century pedestrian mall filled with
pubs, restaurants, art galleries, specialty stores, and the
world-famous steam-powered clock. (B, D)
Day 8: Vancouver - Tour Ends
Today your tour ends, leaving you with a lifetime of memories of
this spectacular region.

Originating in 1912,
the Calgary Stampede is the world's
largest rodeo. You will travel to the
Stampede grounds where you can visit
(time permitting) the Midway, an
authentic North American Village,
various exhibits, entertainment, and the
Frontier Casino. You have reserved seats
for the exciting Rodeo of Calgary. Watch
the many Cowboys, as they show off their
various talents, round up horses with
great roping skills and ride the wild
bulls. An included dinner will follow on
the grounds. This evening you will be
amazed by the performers and
entertainers for the Grandstand Show
featuring the famous chuckwagon races
and musical entertainment.
