Day 1: Edmonton, Alberta
Arrive in Edmonton. Gather for a welcome dinner this evening in the hotel. (D)

Day 2: Edmonton - Fort McMurray
This morning enjoy a city tour of Edmonton. Next, make a visit to the Odyssium™ Space and Science Centre where you will meet an astronomer for an overview of the night sky. Later, enjoy a Planetarium experience at the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre. Travel north by motorcoach to Fort McMurray this afternoon. This evening you will be outfitted with cold weather gear and from specially outfitted cabins, have your first opportunity to view the night sky. (B, L, D)

Day 3: Fort McMurray
Fort McMurray sits on top of one of the largest oil sand deposits in the world. At the Oil Sands Discovery Centre learn about the latest research into extracting the rich oil from the sands below. Then visit a working mine complete with dragline buckets, 150 ton "heavy haulers" and huge bucket wheel excavators. Tonight, another opportunity to view the Northern Lights. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Fort McMurray
Enjoy a morning of leisure. There will be an optional nature walk or dog sled ride (weather permitting). In the afternoon enjoy an Aboriginal experience where you will learn about their cultural ways and have a chance to try your hand at making your own dream catcher. This evening enjoy a final viewing of the Northern Lights. (B, D)

Day 5: Fort McMurray - Edmonton
This morning depart Fort McMurray and return to Edmonton. Visit the West Edmonton Mall, the world's largest entertainment and shopping complex, before returning to your hotel. This evening gather for your festive farewell dinner. (B, D)
