Uniquely For You
About the Ghan Train |
| Travel
on one of the world's most famous trains
- the legendary Ghan. Behold the amazing
scenery as you journey back from the
dramatic Australian Outback into the
elegant city of Adelaide. The Ghan
earned its name from the Afghanistan
camels that were the main link between
the Outback and South Australia. Often
stronger than horses, the one-hump
animals were instrumental in
transporting goods to and from central
Australia - they drank very little water
and were capable of traveling more than
100 miles in a single day. Nearly 150
years later, you too can travel this
historic route - but this time you'll be
inside a comfortable and luxurious
train. |
