of Southern California continues with the sights of Long
Beach, where choices abound from a tour of the Queen
Mary to a visit to the Long Beach Aquarium of the
Pacific. Boarding the Monarch of the Seas in Los
Angeles, your first port of call is charming San Diego,
beckoning with its ideal climate and historic Seaport
Village along the Embarcadero. Your next port of call is
enticing Catalina Island where the quaint streets of
Avalon and crystal clear waters are the perfect backdrop
for this magnificent journey. Your final stop is
Mexico’s second most-visited port of call, Ensenada.
Here enjoy a friendly international atmosphere with
plenty of shopping and spectacular restaurants.

1: Los Angeles, California - Long Beach - Tour Begins
Your tour begins as you join Collette Vacations for some fun and
sun in beautiful southern California. Tonight, join your fellow
travelers for a special welcome dinner. (D)
Day 2: Long Beach - Los Angeles - Long Beach
A great day of sightseeing is planned for you in Los Angeles,
the “City of Angels.” Go behind the scenes of the “Movie Capital
of the World” and let its dazzling landmarks reveal the secrets
of Hollywood’s galaxy of stars. Using an enhanced audio system
that allows you to hear your guide clearly, you visit the
restored historic movie palaces where movie premiere galas are
still held . Stand in the footprints of the stars at Grauman’s
Chinese Theatre and learn the stories behind the symbols of
Hollywood. Your day ends at Universal City Walk for dinner and
the opportunity to explore its many shops and attractions. (B,

Day 3: Long Beach - Palm Springs - Long Beach
A short morning drive brings you to the desert resort town of
Palm Springs. Enjoy a locally guided sightseeing tour that will
introduce you to this popular playground of the rich and famous.
Your afternoon is free to explore or try your luck at the Spa
Casino. (B)
Day 4: Long Beach - Los Angeles - Board Cruise Ship
Your morning is free to independently enjoy the sights of Long
Beach. Perhaps you’ll choose to take an optional tour of the
Queen Mary or visit the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific which
features more than 12,000 marine animals from over 550 species.
This afternoon depart Long Beach for Los Angeles to board the
Monarch of the Seas, your home for the next four evenings. (B,

Day 5: Cruising - San Diego, CA
Today you arrive in San Diego. Known as California’s “first
city,” with roots dating back to 1796, San Diego’s beautiful
harbor is a lovely place to stroll and explore. Historic Seaport
Village, along the Embarcadero, is filled with fascinating shops
and galleries and San Diego’s climate is ideal, no matter what
the season! (B, L, D)
Day 6: Cruising - Catalina Island
Your port of call today is Catalina Island. Catalina Island is
only 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles but it feels like a
world away. This picturesque island is a popular setting for
movies. In fact, a herd of buffalo abandoned years ago by a film
crew still roams the interior sections of this island. Stroll
the quaint streets of Avalon and explore the adventurous village
of Two Harbors. Hike past grazing buffalo or dive in crystal
clear water brimming with life. You’ll have a great time no
matter what you choose to do.

Day 7: Cruising - Ensenada, Mexico
South of the border, alongside mountains, desert and sea,
Ensenada offers a warm and wonderful introduction to Mexico. The
oldest community of the Baja Peninsula, Ensenada was first
visited by Spanish missionaries in the 17th century. Today it’s
a thriving seaport. Ensenada’s breezy climate invites
exploration, shopping for colorful handicrafts, dining on
delectable seafood and sipping cervezas in lively cantinas. (B,

Day 8: Los Angeles - Disembark Cruise - Tour Ends
Your tour ends today, leaving you with many wonderful memories
of your California land and sea vacation. (B)
