include a fun-filled day in Pasadena, home of the famous
Tournament of Roses Parade. You'll begin by watching the
decorating committee putting their final touches on
their beautiful floats and then attend Bandfest,
featuring prize-winning bands that will be performing in
the parade. From your reserved seating, witness the
splendor of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade - a
grand tradition each New Year's day since 1890! From
Long Beach, you'll travel to the Danish capital of
America, Solvang, for a one-night stay. Then get ready
for incredible sightseeing along the famous Big Sur
coast, where the "mountains meet the sea," and later,
along scenic 17 Mile Drive, home to the famous Pebble
Beach golf course. Your journey ends in "the city by the
bay," San Francisco, where you'll enjoy a comprehensive
sightseeing tour featuring the Golden Gate Bridge,
Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf.
- Explore the quaint village
of Solvang, known for its Danish architecture, bakeries,
windmills and shops.
- Visit the Fanfest Expo Village, where you
can interact with many of the Tournament of Roses Parade participants.
- Enjoy reserved seats at the amazing "Glory
of Christmas Show" at the Crystal Cathedral.
- Drive the Spectacular 17 Mile Drive, home
of the Pebble Beach Golf Course and some of the most photographed rockbound
coastline in the world.
Day
1: Long Beach, California - Tour Begins
Ring in the New Year in style with Collette's ever-popular tour
featuring the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Day 2: Float Viewing
This morning you travel to Pasadena for a day that combines the
excitement of the season with fun-filled activities surrounding
the Tournament of Roses. You'll have an opportunity to view the
floats as the decorating committee is putting on their final
touches; attend Bandfest, featuring prize-winning bands, giving
you a chance to see these talented musicians, dancers and
auxiliary performers in action; and free time to explore the
Fanfest Expo Village. Your evening includes tickets to the
amazing "Glory of Christmas Show" at the Crystal Cathedral. (B,

Day 3: Day at Leisure - New Year's Eve Party
The day is yours to explore the area independently or you may
choose to purchase one of the many options that will be offered.
After an exciting day, get ready for tonight's New Year's Eve
Gala Dinner Dance, with live entertainment and a champagne toast
to the New Year. (B, D)
Day 4: Pasadena - Long Beach
Happy New Year! Welcome to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses
Parade, a grand tradition each New Year's day since 1890. When
the parade debuted, 2,000 citizens were on hand to witness
history in the making. Today, more than 1 million spectators
line the parade route. As Collette's guest, you will join them
from reserved seating for prime viewing. After the parade,
return to Long Beach for an afternoon of leisure. Tonight enjoy
another evening of spectacular live entertainment carefully
orchestrated just for you. (B, D)
Day 5: Long Beach - Solvang
Today your travels take you to Solvang, the Danish capital of
America. Your afternoon arrival will allow you time to explore
the local shops and enjoy the Danish atmosphere and
architecture. (B)
Day 6: Solvang - Monterey
An incredible day of sightseeing is in store as you travel the
famous Big Sur Coast, where the "mountains meet the sea". There
will be plenty of stops made to absorb the amazing natural
beauty. Later, arrive in the charming village of Monterey for
your overnight stay. (B, D)
Day 7: Monterey - San Francisco
Another scenic drive is slated for today. Travel along the
spectacular 17 Mile Drive which contains some of the most
photographed rockbound coastline in the world. Your travels
continue to San Francisco, your home for the next two evenings.

Day 8: San Francisco
Discover "the city by the bay" with a comprehensive sightseeing
tour. A local guide will take you to the Twin Peaks, Seal Rocks,
The Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown. Your tour ends at
Fisherman's Wharf, where you may spend the remainder of your day
at your leisure along this fascinating waterfront area. Tonight,
re-live the memories of a wonderful trip at a special farewell
dinner. (D)
Day 9: San Francisco - Tour Ends
Your tour ends in San Francisco.
